Juventus are close to announcing the signing of Brazilian teenager Wesley on a free transfer from Flamengo.

The 19-year-old right-back posted a picture of himself wearing Juve’s training kit with the caption, ‘a new story God has in store for me.’

The young talent earned the nickname ‘Gasolina’ for his pace while playing in Brazil and is represented by Mino Raiola.

Wesley hasn’t featured for Flamengo since last May due to a contractual dispute.

Update 12/04/19:

According to Sky Sport Italia’s transfer journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, Wesley hasn’t been signed outright: The player will be in Turin for a few weeks and will train at Vinovo with the Under 23 team. His non-EU status prevents him from being registered, a condition that will allow Juventus to assess him in the weeks ahead.
