With Olympiakos having already beaten Atletico Madrid and the group finely balanced with all 4 teams on 3 points, the coach was quick to note the threat the Greeks may pose Juventus.
“What headline would I give to this game? Not decisive, but important. We have tomorrow in Athens, then in 15 days we meet again in Turin. We need the right performance in every sense.

I still love the 3-5-2 and use it when I coach, because its the ultimate formation to use with younger kids. The only problem is, when I tell 3 CBs who are kids to defend all game, they do it, when I tell wingbacks to track back, they do it. Professionals think they are bigger than the team, so they tend to do what they think is best, and that unfortunately leaves our defense open, because our outside CBs like to push up the field, along with our wingbacks.

We still ended up drawing against a team that we should have been abe to beat from what we saw in the second leg. And then we tied against Shakhtar after the same thing that happened today against Olympiakos, against Copenhagen, against Nordsjaelland, and against Galatasaray. The players come into the game like vegetables and then finally realize that they should start playing in the end of the second half which either leads to a loss or a draw. This is the players’ fault, not any coach.
you can’t blame carrera for what happened against chelsea. we were down to 10 men since vidal was off the pitch injured and oscar hit a shot that deflected off bonucci. then oscar scored a wonder goal moments later. 2-0 in our first game back in europe, away to the reigning european champions and we come back to draw it. it is the coaches fault. if the coach wants attacking, pressing football, the players won’t sit around waiting for the other team to control the game.

ACTUALLY, to be overly positive, nothing has been lost yet. Olympiacos will probably be first in the group, but Atletico also lost in Greece. If only we can defeat Olympiacos at home, Atletico at home and Malmo away we have a good chance of going through anyway.
