Week 11 Player Ratings – Juventus v Parma

November 9, 2014

Gianluigi Buffon

Made one full stretch save to deny Acquah but after that, he wasn’t troubled for the entire match. Aided by a strong performance from his defence. Spectator

Stephan Lichsteiner

Switched to RB and made all the difference. Run after run, cross after cross. Sublime finish for his goal and two superb assists. Swiss prescision.

Giorgio Chiellini

Strong performance throughout. Made his presence felt in both defence and attack. Mopped up Parma attacks and exuded confidence. Monster.

Leonardo Bonucci

More and more composed with each game. Confident and reassuring each time he was on the ball. Dribbled past 3 Parma players at one stage to bring the ball out. Reliable.

Simone Padoin

Filled in at left back and offered plenty in defence. Provided an assist but his set pieces left a little to be desired. Great service in the final third. Jedi.

Claudio Marchisio

Immense performance yet again. Played in place of Pirlo and gave the back line plenty of cover. Had an excellent shot saved and completed 97% of his passes. Princely.

Stong work rate throughout. A no frills performance but when the rest of the team were getting forward he was always on hand to provide some cover and industry. Vidal-esque.

Paul Pogba

Ran and ran….and ran. Used his pace at every opportunity, fired two great efforts that the strikers capitalised on and should have had a goal late on or himself. Poetry.

Roberto Pereyra

A constant danger playing behind the front two. Had a few chances of his own but didn’t capitalise. Growing with each performance. Pragmatic.

Carlos Tevez – MOM

Seemed a bit part player in the first half before scoring one of the goals of the season by beating half the Parma defence and finishing coolly. Scalping.

Fernando Llorente

Scored the opener with a great finish despite the tight angle before netting a second a little later on. The focal point for the Juve attack once again and a constant threat. Lion King.

Alvaro Morata

Came on with 20 minutes left and made an immediate impact with two beautifully taken goals. Lively and busy, superb movement. ROARata !

Kinglsey Coman

Great runs, some surprising footwork and brilliantly excuted assist for Morata’s goal. Barbarian.
