Gianluigi Buffon

A quiet first half where he was barely troubled made way for a spell of extended pressure in the second half where Inter pushed forward in numbers. Made a great save late on to keep the scoreline at 1-1.

6.5 / 10

Stephan Lichtsteiner

Lot’s of energy and pace down the flank, a bit hit and miss against D’Ambrosio who managed to get past the Swiss Express on more than one occasion. Better going forward than defensively.

6.5 / 10

Leonardo Bonucci

Made a crucial interception on D’Ambrosio’s assist for Icardi and marshalled the Inter attack well when they tried to counter. Performed some great clearances in the first half but a moment’s lapse in concentration let Icardi in to equalise. Was caught on more than one occasion late on.

6.0 / 10

Giorgio Chiellini

Did a job to mark the lively Icardi making some key headed clearances. Beaten for pace and made a few wayward tackles but otherwise reliable.

6.5 / 10

Patrice Evra

A fairly anonymous display from the former Manchester United defender. Made one notable run down the left flank but little else of note.

6.0 / 10

Claudio Marchisio

Had a great chance to open the scoring after the first minute and continued to get forward in the first half. Full of industry and energy in the heart of midfield, made tackles and broke forward in support of the attack when he could.

6.5 / 10

Andrea Pirlo

Hit and miss display from the veteran – Displayed great vision on occasion but balanced it with playing some poor really poor passes at times. A mixed performance.

6.0 / 10

Paul Pogba

Made a rather poor start to the match, misplaced a few passes and seemed off the pace but improved as the game went on. Performed an eye-popping ‘elastico’ but fired his shot straight at Handanovic. Headed wide when he should have scored and gave a solid display overall.

7.0 / 10

 Arturo Vidal – MOM

Supplied the sublime assist for Juve’s opener with hard work and determination, beating Rannocchia with a deft backheel and putting in the perfect ball for Tevez.. Forced two great saves from Handanovic in the first half and was more like his old self.

7.5 / 10

Carlos Tevez

Opened the scoring for Juventus with a relatively easy tap in and continued to be a thorn in Inter’s side before fading as the game progressed.

7.0 / 10

Fernando Llorente

Struggled to hold the ball up on occasions in the first half and all too anonymous on the night. Subbed on 63 mins and rightly so.

5.5 / 10

Substitutes

Alvaro Morata

Made a bright if not brilliant cameo. Wrongly booked for a dive by referee Banti and had a half chance to win the game late on.
