Juventus are making a final bid to sign Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler.
Reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport late last night suggested the Bianconeri are making one final bid to sign Draxler and that there would be decisive meetings held today.
Today’s Gazzetta states that the 21-year-old German midfielder has rejected a a new deal with Schalke and also rejected an offer from Bundesliga team, Wolfsburg.
Schalke are believed to have lowered their original €30m fee and are prepared to accept €27m, plus €5.5m in bonuses, payable in installments; Juve’s counter-offer is reported to be €25m plus up to €7.5m in bonuses.
Draxler is expected to feature in tonight’s Bundesliga match between Wolfsburg and Schalke with talks between Juve and the German side expected to continue after the game.

Honestly this window has just shown how Allegri did well on the tail of Conte’s success and had the european season Conte should have had. Now allegri is having an influence and we are seeing it.

I think we will most likely win scudetto again because Serie A is a joke besides us. Juve would NOT have made through groups without Sandro signing. We will see the exact impact he has though. Juve needs to worry because with Marchisio injured, vidal and pirlo gone, Pogba needs to do a lot more defensive work and could be exposed for his vulnerabilities. He no longer has THE 2 best box to box midfielders with him.
It is a different Juve we see playing this year. Not one based on grinta. This is what disappoints me. There is still the Juve heart pounding deep in the team. But these new signings and players have moved us into a new era of the squad. Only the future will tell our tales of success or lack there of.
I feel like Draxler will be a younger Diego.

The mistake was letting Vidal go. Pirlo and Tevez leaving were fine, but Vidal was Juve’s intensity and heart.
Yeah i agree with that. I understand the reasoning behind it, if Marotta used this reasoning, but his injury is being exaggerated. He was fine in the 2nd half of last season.
Vidal wanted to go. He is super happy to be where he is, and since it’s not Juve, F him.
I can’t wait to see this new Juventus team once the machinery starts running smooth in a game or two. With the new players added so far, I actually think Juventus can be a lot stronger and more innovative – especially Dybala will be a joy to watch.
But I agree that this transfer window has been very intense and a bit of a gamble waiting so long to try and match Schalkes asking price for Draxler. And why on earth did they not demand Mario Götze as a part of the Vidal deal in the first place?
Oh well… a brand new Juventus I can’t wait to see and hopefully a team that will dominate Serie A and CL 🙂

We sold Coman to Bayern for 8 million and if everything goes well this will become 28 million in total next year. This is an amazing deal, Coman showed nothing with us.
Who cares about Coman .. He had zero affect on any of our progress for the past year … he’s surplus to requirements and he wasn’t going to get regular playing time again this season …
In other news, Gazzetta is reporting that the Draxler deal is done .. That’s amazing if it’s true.
AlexSandro, Draxler, Pogba. Dybala, … That’s a really nice core under 24 years old. Add in Berardi next year, not to mention Cuadrado this year and we should have a good team once they get some time to gel .. Our defence is solid (minus Chiellini, he has to go), our midfield is good and we have good strikers – We have youthfulness and experience.
We’re going into a lion’s den tomorrow where it’s going to be electric – A win tomorrow would be nice. Won’t be the end of the world if we lose though. I think once we gel and start to roll (hopefully like years past) we’ll be unstoppable.
My main focus is Champions League anyways. Top 3 in the Serie A is fine with me, we have enough Scudetti. The real prize is CL trophy. I don’t think this team will win it this year, but perhaps in the next year or two, we can be a bonified contender for the trophy.

Coman wasn’t that bad and was a good prospect, but this deal is basically just paying for Draxler. So Coman for free a couple seasons ago = Draxler for free now.
There was potential, but cmon he is way too far from his potential to let this chance slip. He made too many dumb decissions to be of any use to us right now.
I know your hate for Chiellini, but he’s still solid enough to play in a top defence. Just when we play with 2 cb’s it has to be Barzagli and Bonucci.
I’m at the point where I don’t want to see AlexSandro or even Rugani on the bench because Chiellini has to play ..
If we play 4 in the back, which is better for us, Sandro will be LB and Chiellini should be benched for Barzagli and Bonucci, not Rugani. Rugani can have the little matches in Serie A to gain experience since we are keeping him. That probably both won’t happen, Chiellini will probably play most matches and most matches will probably be 3 in the back. So yeah..

No way 🙁 I hate when they make the club logo in a different color. Fuck adidas, nike has never done this to us. We are black & white, not fucking gold/brown whatever. Other than that it’s cool, but i want our colors.
