Selling Cristiano Ronaldo this summer will help Juventus land some of their top transfer targets, including Antoine Griezmann and Gabriel Jesus, according to Il Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia.
However, even if he doesn’t leave, Massimiliano Allegri has told the club he wants a new striker because he wants to work with four attackers.
Allegri is working hard to reshape his squad and get it ready to win trophies next season.
He has identified the likes of Manuel Locatelli as possible new signings, but the report insists that he would be free to achieve more in the transfer market if Ronaldo leaves.
Jesus, Edin Dzeko and Dusan Vlahovic are three of several forwards who have been linked with a move to Juve.
Dzeko might not cost the Bianconeri much, but he would demand a huge salary, Jesus and Vlahovic are much younger targets and they would cost Juve a decent amount of money in transfer fees.
Ronaldo has justified his place in the Juventus squad since he joined them having scored at least 21 league goals in each of his campaigns in Italy.
However, his salary is now a burden to the club because of the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
He might have scored goals but we’ve declined as a working unit giving one player everything and neglecting the rest. Morale has plummeted and our dna had disappeared all since he came.
His wage and the constant drain of resources stopping us growing and has divided the fan base by his fans latching on and disrespecting Juventus when their obsession doesn’t shine.
Out, out,out!!!
it`s simply the wrong time for him to have joined. he can go to psg, conquer the French league asnd be the undisputed Goat of his generation without question; this is the oinly opportunity he has to do this, he needs to grab it with both hands no matter his wage in reduction although psg can asfford him.
Really?
“conquer the French League asnd be the undisputed Goat of his generation without question”
So all he needs is to win the French League (what about the Bundesliga?) and then it’s “undisputed” & “without question”……….
So…no question as to why he’s not the one with most Ballon d’Ors?
No Question as to why he isn’t the one with most European Golden Boots?
And just to point out this isn’t a Messi/Ronaldo debate…
No question as to why he in so far 4 tries at the biggest event in football = FIFA World Cup
Hasn’t helped Portugal to a single final, not even a Bronze medal…
And in 4 tries hasn’t individually won a Golden Ball (Best individualist), not even a Silver Ball or Bronze Ball…
Or in 4 tries hasn’t won an individually Golden Boot/Shoe (Top scorer), or even a Silver Boot/Shoe or Bronze Boot/Shoe…
By comparison Modric = Ronaldos main feeder at Real Madrid, helped a much smaller nation to a final ((Runners Up) & individually won the Golden Ball
– raising the question, who was the true architect behind Real Madrids succes…
Yes, he has an European Championship to his name but he didn’t really play in the final after his injury in the 8th minute (and subsequent substitutiom), nor was he (and has never been) Euros Best Player (Best individualist), nor was he (and has never been) Top Scorer
-so he didn’t exactly win the Euros for Portugal…
So “undisputed” & “without question”, really…….
What?…..
“Ronaldo has justified his place in the Juventus squad”
How?
By helping Juve from being a serious contender in Europe, only bearen by powerhouses like Barcelona, Real Madrid & Bayern Münich,
to be a joke in Europe, being beaten by Ajax, Lyon & Porto…
Or
By helping Juve to deteriorate from an absolute situation of dominance, with 4 straight back to back doubles,
to having to fight just to be no 4, and secure a CL spot
Which by the way, was secured in the last match, where we trashed Bologna 1-4, with a Ronaldo benched the entite match….
Or
By helping JUVE going from a team that easily made more than a 100 goals a season from not doing that for seasons (yeah he scores his individually goals but at the cost of the teams)
Or
Looking in hindsigt, signing Ronaldo was the biggest tranfer failure (maybe together with Ramsey) that Juve has made in many years.
Ronaldo has (if you look at it from a JUVE fan point of view and not a Ronaldo fan boy point of view) been a failure at JUVE.
Making us deteriorate season by season, ever since he joined).
Keep Vlahovic in Serie A. If he gets regular playing time, I’d love to see him on Juve!
We need not be personal about this greatest player. Overall, he has a very successful career. From his formative years at Man United, to Real Madrid, and now with Juve.
He is a born fighter and winner, the attributes that make him to stand out. History will confirm that he propelled Portugal to the Euros. He can’t be judged by limping off the field in the 8th of the final.
He consistently performed in three Big Leagues (England, Spain, and Italy).
Let us give credit where it is due.
