Juventus are close to signing Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich according to Sky Sport Germany.
The Swiss international has struggled for playing time at the German champions and is said to be pushing for a move away in January.
Sky Sport Germany are reporting that Juventus are close to completing a deal for 23-year old playmaker. An initial move would see the Bianconeri take the player on loan for 6 months with an option to buy outright in the summer for a figure believed to be close to €20m.
Both coach Max Allegri and general manager Beppe Marotta spoke of the possibility of bringing in a trequartista to fit in with the recent change in formation and it looks like Juve have beaten off competition from the Premier League to get their man.
Shaqiri was heavily linked to the Bianconeri in the summer and spoke of a possible move to Turin shortly after the World Cup ended.
“Juve ? I don’t know if there are contacts with them or with Liverpool and Monaco.” He told Tuttosport in July.
“Surely Juve could be a good option so as Liverpool and Monaco. They are a big club, who wouldn’t like to play there ? I’m a Bayern player but I wouldn’t see Bianconeri as a step backward for my career.”

PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN BEPPE!
Has to happen – gives us all kinds of options long term, not just in the short term – He’s so fast and he mwon;t be bullied off the ball by Serie A defences. He’s clinical, intelligent on the pitch, can cross, has the creativity that we need.
I heard he has a bit of an attitude at times but we’ll beat that out of him in Turin like we do with anyone else 😉
Attitude is not a problem at Juve – If someone has one and is a bad seed, they’ll just send him away permanently. No bull shit at Juve, especially when Conte was here … I believe people in the organization just won’t put up with it … Nedved, Buffon, Agnelli, Pirlo, Vidal, Lichsteiner, Tevez, Marchisio etc …….
They’ve obviously assessed that side of his game otherwise they wouldn;t want to move for him. Nedved has long been an admirer along with Max.
If he;s sitting on the bench in Bayern not get plauing time it;s because he has Robben and Ribery ahead of him.
I doubt we’d have any problems with him
He’s not happy that he doesn’t get playing time now, how is it that he will get guaranteed playing time at Juve?
he’ll play in the league at least – we can alternate as he;s flexible and can be used in more than one position – Giovinco leaves in his place.
Again? I’d like to finally see this happen then…
FUCK YES PLEASE
