Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has confirmed that he and girlfriend Oriana Sabatini have tested positive for COVID-19.

La Joya had previously said that he was given the all clear, despite coming into contact with infected teammates Blaise Matuidi and Daniele Rugani.

In a post on his social media accounts, Dybala confirmed the news but said he and his partner are isolating and both are OK.

“Hello everyone, I wanted to inform you that we have just received the results of the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I tested positive. Fortunately we are in perfect condition. Thanks for your messages and greetings to all.”

A statement on Juve’s official website confirmed the news:

“Paulo Dybala underwent medical tests that indicated that he tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID19. He has been in voluntary quarantine since Wednesday, March 11. Dybala will continue to be monitored, being well and without symptoms at this time.”

Juventus players Gonzalo Higuain, Sami Khedira, Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa have all tested negative and have returned to their native countries to be with their families.
