Juventus were in scintillating form as they weathered a spirited fight-back from a young Fiorentina team to eventually win 3-0 in Florence.

Juventus Player Ratings

Wojciech Szczęsny: Looked sharp from the outset and needed to be as Fiorentina played a strong opening 45 minutes. Made a few easy saves before claiming a tricky ball that could have cost us when Simeone broke free of Chiellini. Continued his excellent form in the second-half as he was alert to every threat and managed to make a string of good saves.  8.0/10

Giorgio Chiellini: Did a good job of keeping Simeone in check and had came out from the back whenever he could to help lead the charge. Marshaled the defence well when Fiorentina took it up a gear and relieved the pressure with a great solo goal. 8.0/10

Leonardo Bonucci: A little worrying that his concentration drops on occasions but he improved as the first half went on and his passing was on point. Better in the second half with some tidy interceptions. 6.5/10

Joao Cancelo: Switched flanks and proved equally effective with his tricky runs – Deserved a goal for an excellent burst down the left where he shot just wide of the far post. A little shaky in the opening of the second half but he put in a solid shift defensively with some good tackles and clearances. 7.0/10

Mattia De Sciglio: Played a solid first half where he had the measure of Chiesa at every turn and continued that great form into the second where he had the youngster fully under control. Led the team with six tackles and while he didn’t venture forward as much as Cancelo, he was unpassable at the back. Solid. 7.5/10

Midfield

Rodrigo Bentancur: A strong start, capped off by a really well taken goal where he started from midfield and had the beating of Lafont with a tidy finish from just outside the box. Completed 93% of his passes, tackled hard in the centre and played some key passes as well – Developing at a fast rate and seemingly only getting better for the amount of time he spends on the pitch. 8.0/10

Juan Cuadrado: Wasteful on a number of occasions when he was in the final third but he doubled up well on Chiesa and tracked back when needed – That defensive contribution helped make the difference as Fiorentina looked shackled on the flanks. Played a nice assist for Chiellini and put in a good shift, despite not being at his best in the attacking phase. 7.0/10

Blaise Matuidi: Made some good tackles and had some good chances to break where he played some intelligent crosses. Kept the team ticking over and won the ball back and recycled play over and over again. A quiet but understated performance. 7.0/10

Attack

Mario Mandzukic: Looked a little leggy in the opening half which was only to be expected after his midweek exertions. Dominant in the air and made a telling contribution at the back again where he helped with defensive duties. 6.5/10

Cristiano Ronaldo: Created at least three chances in the opening half and should have done better with a well placed free kick but his movement helped open the defence for Juve’s opener. Took his own penalty with real aplomb, taking his tally up to 10 goals and 5 assists in 14 Serie A games. Seems to only be improving. 7.5/10

Paulo Dybala: A lively opening half where he drifted across the attack and had some nice link-up with Ronaldo. Helped set up the opening goal and his passing was on point all night, helping to string together the attack. 7.0/10
