Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has dismissed rumours of a sabbatical while confirming he intends to stay at the club.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Juventus this summer in parts of the Italian press, while the British tabloids have suggested he may take a period away from football.

In a brief exchange with reporters from Mundo Deportivo, Guardiola confirmed his intentions:

“I’m not taking a sabbatical. The news comes out, is repeated and is not checked. I have two years of contract and, if they do not kick me out, I will continue (at Manchester City).”

Maurizio Sarri remains the favourite to take over at Juventus this summer.
