Juventus are preparing to bring Simone Zaza to Turin, should Sebastain Giovinco leave the club in January.
The Bianconeri retain a buyback option for Zaza, despite selling their half of his contract to Sassuolo last summer for €7.5 million.
La Stampa report that Juve are prepared to use that option and buy the player outright for €15 to bring him to Turin during the January transfer. The 23-year-old Italy International has scored seven goals and provided one assist in his 14 Serie A games for the Neroverdi so far this season.
With Sebastian Giovinco confirmed to leave the club at the end of the season, Juventus director Beppe Marotta is reportedly working to end the player’s contract earlier than June so he can join Toronto in February or March.
With the transfer window closing on February 2, it’s believed that if Sassuolo are in a ‘safe’ position by then, they would allow Zaza to make the move to Juventus.
YES PLEASE Ciao Seba and Hi Zaza, this would be great! Gio is useless to us anyway, this would be really good
would rather let him develop more there, than not have regular starting time here. Giovinco can go whenever he likes, It just means Coman will play more
do we really need him right now lets give him till the end of the season and use coman a little more often
Good if seba leaves but he barely played any miutes and if that’s any indication for how much Zaza would be playing then please leave him where he is for now!
Gio should probably be allowed to leave early. Instead of bringing Zaza to waste on the bench, I would rather see Juve sign a veteran player (much like Anelka and Quags in recent years) willing to play backup to Tevez and Coman. The clear hierarchy would then be Tevez/Coman/Veteran and Llorente/Morata for the two forward positions.
Coman as second option for striker is not the clear hierarchy, even though we would like it to be this way! And I rather have no new striker than yet another waste on the likes of Anelka, Osvaldo, Bendtner
What I meant is Coman as Tevez’s backup and Morata as Llorente’s, with a veteran striker as an insurance policy. It is hard getting minutes as Tevez’s backup, but we at least don’t have the dilemma of choosing between Gio and Coman for that backup spot.
The way Coman is playing, it will be hard to keep him on the bench too much longer. Conte couldn’t keep an 18-year old Pogba on the bench of the same reason.
Yeah I know, but it’s not how Allegri/Juve see it. I don’t think they will use Coman for a striker either, an attacking midfielder or perhaps a false 9 like Del Piero was. Gio hardly played either so I don’t really see how it affects Comans chances, I wish it was like you describe it, I would like it to be this way.
Pogba is better than Coman is though, he nailed down a starter spot pretty much right after he joined, Coman has hardly played.
Fingers crossed he’ll play much more soon!
But about the veteran striker, I really don’t want that. That’s just another 2mill on wages for a hasbeen who will play 2-3 games maximum
Why do you think Allegri won’t use Coman as a striker/forward? He has already paired him with Morata and Tevez in a few games. I think he is versatile enough to play as an attacking midfielder, false 9 or a striker. I guess all of us just want to see him play in whatever capacity quickly and often.
Don’t know, have this feeling. Not that it differs much, a false striker/CAM is close to it. I think so too, Coman would thrive in any attacking role imo, I think with some practice he could do well on a wing too.
I just want to see him play instead of Padoin, Pepe, Gio and other dead wood, I guess we all think like that 😛
Gotta put faith in youth more or we make the same mistake the Milano teams made, not working in youngsters with the trophy winning players and end up with a mediocre squad
Totally agree. Allegri will hopefully find time for Coman or even change formations to feature him more. Every game, I wish Allegri would give Coman a few minutes behind Tevez like he did with Morata behind Llorente.
