Juventus confirm Morata departure

June 21, 2016 - 10:27 am

Juventus director Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Alvaro Morata will return to Real Madrid.

“Real Madrid will activate their buy-back clause for Alvaro Morata, we’ll see what happens after that,” Marotta told Tuttomercatoweb.

“As for Pogba, we haven’t received any offer, and he is a fundamental player for the present and the future of Juventus. Raiola is an excellent agent with whom we have a great relationship, but Pogba’s growth is still ongoing and he’d do well to stay with us.

“With Miralem Pjanic and Dani Alves we worked ahead on the market and started building the team for next season. The Brazilian will be in Turin starting from next week.

“Does that mean Stephan Lichtsteiner will leave? The goal is to have two quality players for every role.”

“Gomes and Mascherano? Those are some pretty utopian targets. Barcelona have closed things down for Mascherano, and Valencia’s request for the Portuguese is pretty high.

“Berardi? I’ve spoken with Squinzi and Carnevali [Sassuolo] and I don’t think the player will go to Inter, he chose a very precise path of development.

“He didn’t refuse to come to Juve, but he decided to stay another year at Sassuolo. If the player wants to grow in an environment that suits him then it’s right to wait.”

ok, he is gone, now we need some1 to dybala, we have 30m, maybe another 20 for asamoah and 13 for pereyra, thats 63m, so this looks good, aubameyang would be nice,he is one of the fastest players in the world. buffon, alves, bonnuci, chiellini, sandro, khedira , lemina, pogba, pjanic, dybala, aubameyang in 4312(when marchisio is fit then switch him with lemina)/ or 433, same def, khedira (marchisio when fit), pjanic, pogba, aubameyang, zaza, dybala

I don’t think so Juventus like to do that kind of heavy investment and money involved deals. Juve always like to do smart deals.

Overall it was a good investment. He scored some important goals, now we get our money back plus some extra.

Get Sanchez, I think I’ve read him complaining about Arsenal and the lack of trophies.

i still take him more of a winger than striker, but he is beast no doubt, strong with the ball, fast with great foot work, mandzukic could benefit from his crosses, zaza too

Re Peter: He’s already on £130+ k per week at Arsenal. That’s about 170k euro’s! Juve would need to almost double their current top salary to match it. Are they going to do that? Sanchez doesn’t need to leave Arsenal, or take a pay cut.

he could play LW (433) or cf in 4312

Yes, So if he plays at LW who is gonna play at RW. In 4-3-1-2 he can only play in a Secondary Striker position which is acquired by dybala.

dybala as rw, who else?or 4321. how you mean , he can only play in a secondary striker position? it’s alexis sanchez man, no padoin, he can adapt to every attacking position our coach will ask him to.

Dybala is no RW. If you read my comment again I said “In 4-3-1-2 he can only play in a Secondary Striker position”

As KPS235 said, he could play LW or pretty much anywhere in the attack because he’s world class.

A very sad day. Juve best forward is gone for that of half of his Market value .I hope pogba is untouchable . IF pogba goes than it comes to that pathetic and ridiculous JEEP deal.

I don’t need to need to read about it again. I know the relationship between Fiat/Chrysler and Exor/Juve, and I know the figures involved and how it relates to other club sponsorship deals in the depressed economics of it’s Serie A context.

We are not mind readers! If you have something to say, explain it or don’t put it forward into the debate. That’s just silly.

Not for me. The figures are very low due to which it causes many limitations to Juve e.g 6 mil Salary cap.

          • Avatar
Dar Black June 21, 2016 at 5:27 pm

Yes you are correct that Juve’s cap is a limit. But I think that may be a temporary thing, something to do with Juve having to pay for the new J Village complex (and perhaps still paying for the stadium) at the minute. Perhaps once all that is built and paid for the income will rise and the club expenditure will decrease, enabling them to pay higher salaries. We shall see.

Also I think in Italy there is something called a ‘luxury tax’ which disproportionately hurts Serie A clubs relative to other leagues due to the amount of tax they have to pay out. I know that Agnelli has ranted about something like that in the past. Of course Italian people on here will know more about that than I do.

I disagree on him being our best forward. Real kid goes back to Real. Not really surprising if you ask me. If they sell him for extra profit, I’ll laugh at him every time I’ll see him.

He scored 5 in the CL last year, and only scored 2 this year. Mandzukic also scored 2 this year, while Dybala and Zaza 1-1 each. He doesn’t have a big lead.

That kind of Deal sucks. I don´t know how we engaged on it in the first place, were we that desperate 2 years ago? RM just took advantage of that. 🙁

muhammad najeeb syed June 21, 2016 at 6:47 pm

The whole Allegri time mismanagement caused Morata to leave Juve. The deal was also poorly constructed with Juve looking like the saussalo of Madrid.

        • Avatar
Sebastián Quiceno June 21, 2016 at 7:39 pm

Your comment is absolutely on point, had he played more often he would have pushed to stay, although I don´t know if it would have made any difference because that deal was awful since its inception.

It seems we engaged in a deal we had no idea in the world how it would pan out. We must have been too desperate to agree like you say playing to be the Sassuolo for Madrid. Todays Juve is not the same as 2 years ago, I just hope management actually think the same and not repeat this mistake again.

If we are not buying Berardi this year do we have that money now available? If we offer RM 40m euro’s on top of the 30m they owe us for him then maybe we can buy him outright. Depends what EPL clubs are willing to offer. I suspect there will be offers of that kind of value, perhaps 80+ if he keeps doing well in Euro’s.

    • Avatar
muhammad najeeb syed June 21, 2016 at 3:41 pm

Berardi will stay at Saussalo for 1 more year. From reports Juve don’t want to offer more than 25 mil for morata which real don’t accept.

    ADP#10 June 21, 2016 at 5:29 pm

Some reports say it is for 30M, others say it is for 32M. Either way I still think we need to do more in this transfer window. Hopefully Asamoah, Hernanes, Pereyra will leave soon, we can probably get around 40M for them or a bit more. We still need a backup CB, another top class midfielder, and now a replacement for Morata. I think we could try to go for Isco and Benzema.

    My quick take.

A feeder club kind of deal, maybe it seemed ok 2 years ago but not now. I hope we learn the lesson and this kind of deal is not reapeated again. so what now, ¿now do they want to use as some sort of finishing academy for their players? have them form their own players, ¡if they can! If it was down to me R. Madrid just would´ve closed their door to any deals with Juve, forget Pogba, Dybala or any future Juve deal. We gain nothing from dealing with them. let them keep their players, we don´t need them, we can grow our own.

I think we really shouldn´t play being the feeder club letting them finger pick the best players for themselves and leave us what they judge disposable.

Real Madrid have cofniirmed it – For the sake of official confirmation, i posted a new story, but please keep discussing it here. No need to start a new discussion, it was more for the sake of keeping an ‘official’ list of signings on the transfer page.

Still trying to make sense of the news. Will post more later. Glad to see so many people talking about it and offering their own views.

He was a decent striker; not Del Piero or Vieri or Trez… but good.
He went back home where he belongs. I think we always knew that it would happen sooner or later. There should not be a huge surprise here. This is business as usual. We (Juve) struck a deal at the time that seemed like good business, and in my opinion it was. We made about €10 million. Now we are a different team, in a different time with different goals. Now, we should go for a star . Whether it is Cavani, Benzema, or somebody else of equal quality, but it has to be a STAR STRIKER.

muhammad najeeb syed June 22, 2016 at 9:29 am

Cavani is no more the same striker which he was with Napoli. He has downgraded largely. The only star player which has a little chance to come is Sanchez.
