Juventus are monitoring the situation of Sporting Braga’s 18-year-old forward Francisco Trincao.

The striker was the subject of interest from the Bianconeri in the summer when he played a pivotal role in helping Portugal lift their 4th European Under-19 trophy while becoming the tournaments top-scorer with five goals.

Juve attempted a deal in August offering a figure close to €8m, however the proposal was judged as too low, with reports that the Lusitanian club had a  €30m release clause for the player.

According to Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti, interest in the player remains high with Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund leading the race to sign the player, however Juve are still keen.

The reports suggests that Juve are continuing to evaluate the situation and have sent emissaries to Portugal to observe the growth and development of Trincao, viewing him as a work in progress.
