Juventus have been linked with a move for Porto centre-back Eder Militao, should they fail in their bid to sign Matthijs de Ligt.

The Bianconeri have been following Ajax defender de Ligt for well over a year, however competition is stiff with Barcelona reportedly his preferred destination.

RAI Sport report that Juventus are preparing other options and observed Militao in Porto’s 2-1 defeat to Roma in the Champions League earlier this week.

The 21-year-old centre back is being courted by the likes of Manchester United and reportedly has a release clause of €50m which would be considerably less than the figures being bandied for De Ligt.

Militao has managed 27 appearances for Porto this season, scoring 2 goals in the process and was named best defender in Portugal for the fourth consecutive month.
