Juventus are looking to strengthen their midfield with a big-name signing and Paul Pogba is top of the list.

The Bianconeri are reportedly in the hunt for a star midfield player this summer as they look to revitalise in the centre of the pitch.

Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had been a primary target for Juve this summer, however club President Claudio Lotito’s demands for €100m may lead Juve to look to Manchester United’s Pogba instead.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Pogba’s name is first in their notebook, but the potential for getting any deal completed is complex, however Juve are prepared to try in an effort to reproduce the effect of signing Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

For his part, Pogba has reportedly hinted that a return to Turin would be most welcome as his relationship with the club remains strong and he is still in touch with many former teammates.

The report suggests that the Frenchman is unhappy with United’s 6th place finish and wants to compete in the Champions League again, following a disappointing season in Manchester.

Any potential move could involve Juve using a player in exchange with Douglas Costa, Alex Sandro and even Paulo Dybala touted to leave the club this summer.

Frenchman Adrien Rabiot remains an alternative option for the Biaconeri, given his contract with PSG expires this summer, however his reported salary demands may be too high for Juve.
