As negotiations for Danilo come to a standstill, Juventus are turning their attention to Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio.
Juve’s pursuit of Danilo was previously reported to be coming to a close, as suggested by Spanish paper AS, however various reports in Italy have suggested that Juve and Real are at loggerheads over the price of player. The Bianconeri have offered close to €15m while the Spanish champions value the Brazilian full-back at closer to €20m.
With no progress in the search for a right-back, attention has turned to Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio, who Sporting Director Mirabelli confirmed was set to leave the club.
Sky Sport Italia pictured Giovanni Branchini in Milan earlier today, and it’s since been reported that he met with Bianconeri directors to discuss a possible transfer for the 24-year-old who was first handed his debut under Max Allegri. Allegri is reportedly keen on bringing De Sciglio to Turin to take over the right-back position following Dani Alves’ departure.
Branchini is also an intermediary for Douglas Costa who has been linked with a move to Juventus for the last month, and while a deal is yet to materialise, it’s possible that he may have discussed the possible transfer of the Brazilian. The only stumbling block appears to be Bayern Munich’s search for a replacement for the winger and it’s suggested that once they secure a new signing, Costa will be free to leave.
here we go again, lets sell our good defenders and replace them with trash. I even read we are considering a Sandro and Alonso swap….Damn BONKERS!
Just tell Chelsea that the best left back is not for sale and recall Spinazzola, we have no need for Average players like De Sciglio. are we not trying to win the Champions anymore? are we gonna bend over to the english just because they have more money? there are far better LB and RB out there than Di scglio
What would you say about Darmian for the RB spot?
he did really good for ManU in the second half of the season, if he can keep that up, then I would not mind his signing. I do believe there are better options thogh. however the wings and the Mid, and LB (should Sandro leave), where we need the most investment in. So if we can save a few bucks by signing Darmain, then that is good he has shown recent quality.
Now that Alves has left do we have any one else on the RB position other than Lichsteiner? Sure Barzagli could fill in sometimes, but I feel like we need a real option.
I would love to see Di Sciglio at Juve, though even better would be for Sandro to stay. With Alves off the scene, Di Sciglio would be a much better option that Danilo, who is really pretty ordinary.
