Juventus are claimed to be eyeing a deal to sign Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria this summer, with Federico Bernadeschi a possible makeweight in the operation.
The Italian winger played a key role in helping our country to qualify for this summer’s tournament, and played his part in securing the title alongside club team-mates Federico Chiesa, Leo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.
Bernadeschi didn’t enjoy the most fruitful campaign in Turin last term however, failing to convince Andrea Pirlo that he was worthy of regular playing time, while the inexperienced boss opted to utilize him out of position at left-back on occasion.
Competition for the attacking roles remains strong at Juventus however, and we are now claimed to be considering offloading him, possibly as a makeweight in a deal to sign Damsgaard.
The 21 year-old was one of the standout stars of the tournament, with two goals and an assist including the only free-kick goal of the entire tournament.
Sampdoria are said to be unwilling to accept any offers of under 30 Million Euros, but ForzaItalianFootball adds that their interest in Bernadeschi could well see the two teams come to a mutual agreement that will allow both teams to get their targets.
Should Damsgaard be a priority signing for Juve this summer?
Patrick
swapping a euro winner with a kids who shone because his entire team got no better talents seems the right things to do. it will guarantee a UCL winner for sure. as long as u r an italia u are lower than the rest of the planets.
current juve managements operate with merda mindset under moratti lol.
meanwhile delpiero won the UCL with only 2 foreign players in juve 96.
Well, it was actually 3.
Jugovic also played in the campaign & was substituted on in the final.
Supplementing Deschamps & Sousa as foreign players.
After 3 years, Bernadeschi has unfortunately shown that he is not Juve material. Doesn’t score goals and his decision making in the final third is terrible. Damsgaard would be a good buy, but ideally for a straight swap for Bernadeschi.
Bernie isin’t that bad, after all he play’s for italia. i’m sure he’ll be a better player under allegri.
As for Damsgaard, he certainly looks interesting, he could could form an intetesting offensiv with Dybala, Morata & Chiesa (Ronaldo benched, if he’s not sold)
Juve should get him please
Bernadeschi always look like a good footballer but after 3 years I don’t see any improvement in his game. I think Damsgaard will be an upgrade but he shouldn’t be Juve’s priority signing. Juve’s technical team should be focused, they need to close the extention of Dybala and Chielini, close the deal on Locatelli, get players that will improve the team and sell the dead woods like Ramsey and others, decide the future of Ronaldo, Damiral, Rabiot, Rugani, etc rather than been linked with almost every player available yet signing none and selling none. It’s not been an interesting transfer window so far.
