Juventus have met with Cagliari and the agent of Nicolò Barella with a view to agreeing a transfer for the future.

The 20-year-old midfielder has attracted the attention of a number of European clubs including Roma, Inter, Valencia, Manchester United and Sevilla, however the Bianconeri have sought to steal a march on the competition.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus officials met with Cagliari directors and Barella’s agent, Stefano Beltrami with the intention of securing an option on the young midfielder for the future while also agreeing a player exchange for a number of Bianconeri youth prospects.

The deal could include players like Emil Audero, Alberto Cerri and Fabrizio Caligara moving to Sardinia, while Barella, Roberto Biancu and Kwang-Son Han would head to Turin.
