Juventus are close to reaching an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Reports in the UK media suggested there was Italian interest in the former Corinthians man, with Inter, Milan and Napoli all linked with a possible move. Tuttomercatoweb claim that Juventus have already met with Spurs directors in Milan to work out a deal that would see the Bianconeri sign the player outright, rather than take him on loan.

Another meeting was reported to have took place yesterday but as yet, there have been no further developments.

Paulinho signed from Corinthians in 2013 for £17m but has only made 7 league appearance for Spur, all of them as a substitute.
