Reports from the Italian press suggest Manchester City are closing in on a deal to sign Juventus full-back Joao Cancelo.

The two clubs had reportedly been negotiating over a transfer for the Portuguese international since the start of the summer but may now complete the move.

Corriere Torino and others suggest Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici was in London today, not only to negotiate Paulo Dybala’s potential switch to Manchester United but also to discuss Cancelo with City.

Juventus are expected to ask for between €50-55m for Cancelo, removing the option of including Brazilian right-back Danilo in any potential deal.
