Juventus director Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the club will ‘sign Domenico Berardi’.
Marotta was at a ‘Football Leader’ event in Amalfi earlier today and was quizzed by journalists about various transfer rumours connected to the Bianconeri.
“This is a group that’s difficult to improve but we always want to be more competitive,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Berardi is a great talent, there’s a verbal agreement with Sassuolo and Juventus have the moral right of first refusal and we’re going to complete this deal.
“Morata? He’s becoming a champion, we’ll do everything possible to keep him in Turin.
“Real Madrid’s buy-back clause is like the Sword of Damacles, but we’ll meet with them after the Champions League final.
“Pelle? The only unknown in the attacking department is Morata, only in that case will we evaluate other investments.”
This is the deal that i wanted more than any other – A precocious young talent who has had a tremendous impact on Serie A, the like that we haven’t seen in a while.
Seems a player that can still be moulded into a number of roles, not just as a winger – Perhaps even as a SS or even playing behind the strikers….although i feel that would stifle his natural gift for creating magic on the right flank.
Granted, he will cost a pretty penny….but i have a hunch this young man will really become a superstar. I hear reports of him being introverted, a quiet lad who seldom gives interviews or the like. I can;t help but feel, if he is to make the move, what better place than Juve, where he will be made one of the family, as soon as he arrives.
To get young Domenico so early and well in advance of the others that have shown interest, will be a huge boost for us. Very excited about this and the sooner it’s made official, the better !
We can pay it with the Morata money. Morata gone = Berardi + 5mill in.
Finally some positive transfer news!
Agreed completely. If we give him the opportunity, he can take us to the next level.
Off topic, but I wish Juve still wore Kappa kits!
beautiful things weren’t they ?
Indeed. They always looked uber cool. That emblem is a classic. I guess they lost out to the megabucks of the big corporates, but as they were a Turin based company there was also something nice and logical about Juve wearing them.
And I really hope we do not trade Zaza for Pelle, that would be completely stupid.
Exactly! I don’t even know what I’m reading sometimes…
lol pelle
