Matthijs de Ligt has aimed another dig at Juventus as the Dutchman enjoys his start to life at Bayern Munich.
He was at Juve between 2019 and this summer when he demanded to move to Germany.
Juve quickly cashed in on him and replaced him with Gleison Bremer, who has not had the best of starts in Turin.
While Juve struggles in Serie A and Europe, Bayern is having a brilliant campaign, and De Ligt is enjoying his time there.
The defender has now aimed a dig at Juve by claiming the level of intensity in their training is less than what is applicable at Bayern.
He claims that was the reason he struggled when he first moved to Bavaria.
The Dutchman said, as quoted by Football Italia:
“I am playing in training against some of the best strikers in the world. It was a little difficult at first, but day by day, you learn and improve. This is very important for me.
“Both training regimes are hard, but in Italy it’s more about tactics and systems, less intensity and above all less sprinting.
“I struggled a little at the start because I was not accustomed to the intensity level of the training at Bayern, but now I am in good shape.”

Different bosses manage both clubs, and they compete in specific domestic competitions.
Juve has to adapt to a training routine that will help them compete in Serie A.
Bayern does the same in Germany, so De Ligt shouldn’t have expected both clubs to train the same way.

Meantime, as football fans we will keep a close look at the penalties ( with windmill hands flailing) he concedes and poor defensive decisions he makes ( SCHICK in Euros) . ENJOY your life at BAYERN, Matthijs, but Franz Beckenbauer and Gaetano Scirea are a different universe altogether………you wouldn;t even make the level of a SALVADORE, MORINI, KOHLER, FERRARA, MONTERO, CANNAVARO, BARZAGLI, CHIELLINI and BONUCCI, let alone those two GODS of defensive skills I mentioned earlier.

de Ligt is aiming a Dig to Juve because when he was at Juve, the squad did not do revolution like what happen recently. Probably he has a slight jealousy that Juve squad changed a lot better now and ready to fight more Championship
Really, was it worth spending $75M for De Ligt 3 years ago? For what he gave back to Juventus, it was not worth all the hype, particularly as he was never going to stay long term. Juve could have brought 3 very good players for that money. To rub salt in the wounds this ungrateful clown keeps taking digs at the club that filled his pockets with millions. Give me Bremer every single day of the week over this overrated windmill.
De Lift is a very technically gifted CB that give his best almost every game but leaving juventus(SERIE A) to join the bundesliga is a massive downgrade in the standard as the Italian league is more of a challenge than the bundesliga
Its good to stand by one’s favored team. I’ve followed both Juve and Bayern for sometime/years now. Still, juve remained a “bridesmaid” for so long already, and Bayern? The team won UCL not so long ago and Bundesliga almost successively for the past 10-12 years? Let’s just watch their games and enjoy the art of futbol.
