According to reports in Italy, Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt is not leaving the club summer.

Reports in recent weeks have linked De Ligt to both Manchester United and now, Real Madrid with a suggestion Juve would look to cash-in on the centre-back after just one season in Turin.

Speaking to Juventus fansite Juventibus, Juve insider and journalist Romeo Agresti dismissed the idea, suggesting it was false news while in an earlier article, Sky Sport Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Matthijs De Ligt have no intention of leaving the club in the summer.

The news follows from De Ligt’s ‘father-in-law’ confirming that transfer rumours about a United move were totally unfounded and the 20-year-old and his partner could remain in Italy for some time yet.
