Juventus vice-chairman Pavel Nedved has confirmed that the Bianconeri are following Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.

Speaking in a phone interview with a TV channel in his native Czech Republic, the former Juve midfielder spoke of the clubs interest in the 21-year-old sensation who has drawn attention from across Europe.

“I can confirm that Schick is the hottest name in the Italian newspapers today, scoring 11 goals. ” Nedved told 02 Sport.

“I can also confirm that we [Juventus] are following Schick and certainly continue to do so. Of course, it will depend on what Schick and his agent want to do next.

“He is not the kind of player who can only play in one position. He can play two or three different roles.

“The big advantage is his technique, speed and body. He has everything a perfect striker should have. He has a big future ahead of him,  if he wants to.  I think he is a player with his head in the right place.

“He can make a great career for himself, but he must keep working on improving himself to become the very best and he certainly has it all to become the very best.”
