It’s official: Max Allegri has renewed his contract at Juventus, keeping him at the club until 2020.
The Tuscan tactician was expected to put pen to paper on an extension despite rumours linking him to both Arsenal and Barcelona this summer.
The club earlier released an official statement on their website confirming Allegri will remain at Juventus until at least 2020.:
“Juventus is pleased to announce that Massimiliano Allegri has signed a contract renewal at the club until 2020.
“Today’s agreement extends a working relationship that has seen the Bianconeri consolidate their position as Italy’s top team and also evolve into one of European football’s major forces.
“Side by side, Juventus and Allegri have created history and legend. Now is the time to make the next step forwards together.”
Always nice to read some great news!
I’ve also read about chelsea offering 55mil + matic for bonucci. Even though bonucci is a great defender i’d definitely consider this.. juve would still have enough quality cb with rugani, chiellini, barzagli and benatia. That’s more than enough if they keep playing with 2 cb’s.
If true, I would definitely consider it too, but in the end I would still rather keep Big Leo.
It all depends on what he wants. If he wants to stay, all is good. If not, we should look to make the most out of losing our probably best cb and 55mill + a strong DM such as Matic is absolutely a good proposal to consider.
I havent had the heart for talking about the CL final with pretty much anyone yet, but perhaps now is as good as ever.
As all of us, I felt shattered and heartbroken to lose yet another final. Juve collapsed as a house of cards in a gust of wind. It was miserable to witness the complete unraveling of our famous and traditional mental fortitude, our necks collectively dropped on the executioners chopping block, waiting for the final whistle so we could be trundled off the pitch and wail in our misery.
To see Buffon with that empty look in his eyes was perhaps the most hurtful image I have seen since Del Piero left the club.
And yet, we had a historic season. We are a European powerhouse again. We might still not be the top of the pack, but we are very much fighting with the big boys. And for that, we as fans should be proud.
I care little about some pitiful comments I have read and heard. Sell this player, retire that player, buy this guy and not that guy. All but wind in the air.
No true Juventino would demand Buffon to retire or Claudio, Leo to be sold off. Being a fan is like being in a marriage, sometimes it is easy and sometimes the road is difficult. Yet, for one who feels true love, the difficulty is but a moment to show your true self to each other.
I do not mean to point fingers at anyone, I am just spilling out the concerns bearing me down. Thank you for bearing with me, to all of you who bother to read this. Rant over.
