While the deal was announced and finalized some time ago, Patrice Evra has only just now been unveiled as a Juventus signing. Evra, alongside Beppe Marotta, had his debut press conference today. He discussed the beginnings of his career, his time at United, and most importantly, his desire to join Juventus and the reasons for his desire.

Specifically he mentioned the “winning culture” of Juventus several times. It only makes sense that Evra, who had a very successful tenure at Manchester United and was a part of some very strong sides in the past decade, would want to continue his career at another club with a winning tradition.

Evra also responded to some questions about ex-coach Antonio Conte. Evra stated that Conte had called him and they had discussed Juve before the World Cup, and that he wasn’t mad at Conte for leaving, and he was still happy to join Juve due to it’s great history.

Other highlights include when a reporter asked if he left Manchester United for personal reasons and Evra laughed. Finally, Evra also mentioned how happy he was for Carlos Tevez after seeing Tevez find success at Juve, and he stated that Evra and himself were good friends off the pitch.

Welcome to Juventus, Patrice!
