Sami Khedira will return to action this month having successfully recovered from an operation for an irregular heartbreak.

The Juventus midfielder was sidelined for almost a month after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia.

Juventus have now confirmed that Khedira will return later to the team later this month via a statement on the clubs official website:

“Sami Khedira underwent planned cardiological tests that highlighted the positive evolution of the treatment performed.

“He has since started on a personalised training programme. The prognosis is such that he can return to action a month from the date he underwent surgery.”

The German international is not expected to return in time to feature in the Bianconeri’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid next week.
