Should Max Allegri resign as Juventus’ manager?

September 15, 2022 - 9:33 am

Juventus’ campaign hit a new low yesterday when they were beaten at home by Benfica in the Champions League.

The Bianconeri had been winless in three games before that fixture, and fans hoped they would get back to form when they faced the Portuguese side.

Juve started the game well, like they have done in many matches this season, and took an early lead through Arkadiusz Milik.

However, the Portuguese visitors scored twice to overturn the result and secure their second win in as many UCL games, while Juve now has two defeats from two.

The Bianconeri fans were unhappy, and some have been calling for Max Allegri to leave.

However, the gaffer wants to stay. Asked after the game if he was a part of the problem or the solution, he replied, as quoted by Football Italia:

“I feel part of the solution, I must find a solution.

“When I returned, I thought it would take time to build. Unfortunately, I didn’t think we could lose two games in a row. The important thing is to do well and remain in the Champions League. These defeats are annoying, but it’s useless to talk too much now.”

Juve FC Says

Losing to Benfica is painful, considering how much we needed a win last night.

The Portuguese side played under less pressure, but we are one of the top clubs in the world and had the most expensive team.

It is hard to justify that result or to think things will get better soon. It is probably time to think about sacking Allegri.

It must be a matter of days before Tuchel is on his way to Turin and Allegri leaves.

I don’t think it is totally the coach s fault… juve has invested in the wrong players.. as always, most of qhich will end up in the infermary because they are injury prone… the issue is deeper at club s direction when buying players.. In my opinion Nedved should have gone to coaching… atrivabene showed his success stories when he was leading Ferrari in Formula 1.. the coach has to use what players he has at his disposal… which unfortunately is not a lot at this point in time.

every day he`s there proves more and more agnelli doesn`t care about football, just the fools who keep buying the shirts. the half-empty stadiums should be a clue. no one enjoys us losing, or repeating the same thing, but the reality is it is not working, and the locker room divide? allegri has his favourites who he`s picking over everyone else, and the players are tired of working against him to attack and try to win.

100%, absolutely agree about Agnelli and his whole band of losers. The 3 A’s, Agnelli, Arrivabene and Allegri should be shown the door.

They won’t sack allegri, cause they will need to pay him 25 millions then… We are stuck with him

How are we the the most expensive team when we spent less in our last 3 seasons than psg did for mbappé alone? Juve is going through a transition phase where players are injury prone, our old icons left and we’re now a squad full of youngsters and new players, none of the players have enough experience together as a team to be able to play at their best but problems like this are only solved by patience and time not by swapping managers every season, that only makes it worse. As bianconeri we should focus more on cheering on the players and the team than put more pressure on them and on the coaching staff by criticising them at every turn.

Juve Lost 2 games of Champions league, I think this season if Allegri still continue to coach Juve, it means early exit from champions League and a lot of games in the League will be draw or loosing. Need solution immediately.

It’s funny to see how all the newcomers perform well : Paredes, Milik, Kostic and Bremer. It’s the “old guard” who are to blame: Mckennie, Cuadrado, Sandro, Danilo, Vlahovic and Locatelli.

Vlahovic is here for half a season and is the old guard? He’s 22.

half season training under allegri coaching is enough to becom bad player

Statwise if we could recall, Vlahovic only would score against low mid opposition. He is barren in impotant matches And it is rather surprising that Milik seems to be getting in harmony with the team than him. Yet it was Milik who was taken off. Moise Kean might have scored that night against Benfica should he had started

Kean is talentless, unable to score.

Exactly. Because these newcomers haven’t adapted to Allegri’s “tactics” yet.

The midfield is the problem. You cannot compare the likes of Marchisio, Vidal, Pogba or Pirlo in 2017 to the current midfielders who cannot pick a pass or track back and tackle any type of opponent at the moment. I strongly suspect that if Tuchel, Pochettino, or Zidane took over the Bianconeri tomorrow, they would quit within a few months of their arrivals. You all need to realise that if these managers could have been brought in Agnelli would have done so 16 months ago. You want Allegri out, but who can reasonably do a better with what Agnelli is providing in terms of investment in 4 months time?

not only Allegri should leave even the person who confirmed him should leave because Allegri always when he won because of Conte merit he left him with a good team now that all the players nearly ended their career he is not able to form a team

Pochettino, Zidane, Bielsa and Tuchel are waiting for a Juventus call soon. I would say that Zidane will be the perfect choice as he is a Juventus legend and a coach with 3 Champions leagues and 2 leagues with Real Madrid. Juventus Al ready has good players we just need they right guy to show them the way to go.

Juventus are not a top club. They’ve never been among the elites since the Zidane-Del Piero era, despite getting to the finals in 2003, 2015, 2017. They play unwatchable football and have average players filling every position.
Only their leaders think they are a top club entitled to form part of a Super League consisting only of top teams. But top teams are Bayern, Man City, Real, Barca, Liverpool, followed by PSG, Napoli, AC Milan.
    Allegri’s Juventus are garbage.

Allegri should have being sacked since last season. Juventus have a good team they need a good manager.for example Bentacur and Kluveski they are good players but in Juventus they were not playing well. They don’t have motivation. No organisation, the passes are so poor, the have no clue of what to do next with the ball. So the pass back
