Following the latest defeat at Verona, Juventus is officially a club in deep, deep crisis.
After eleven rounds, the Bianconeri now sit 9th in the Serie A standings, 16 points adrift from league leaders Napoli and Milan.
But the question is: Who’s to blame for this incredibly unpleasant situation?
La Gazzetta dello Sport decided to conduct a poll, asking up to ten thousands readers to choose the main culprit.
The result? 64% of the persons who took part in the poll blamed the club’s management first and foremost.
On the other hand, 21% decided to blame Max Allegri for the woeful start to the season, and only 15% pointed the finger at the players.
Juve FC say
The voters obviously had to make only one pick, but the majority would probably agree that the responsibility should be shared between all parties.
But while the management surely didn’t excel in recent years, it’s hard to blame the likes of Federico Cherubini and Maurizio Arrivabene who only recently inherited a club in deep financial troubles and have thus far only conducted one transfer session.
On the other hand, it’s a bit surprising to see the players taken off the hook so easily, with some of them showing a lack of character in their recent performances.
So tell us if you agree with the poll’s result.
All 3 have played a part. I say each deserve 1 3rd of the blame.
Honestly I think the blame is a big part in the players.
The tactical side of play isn’t wrong, but the execution is dramatic…
Players walk on the pitch like they have a walk in the park on a Sunday afternoon.
There’s no creativity!
The only one’s you can blame for that are the players themselves.
I consider all 3 should share the blame. Each does not anticipate the situation very well.
I consider it’s another “pre-season” game until winter break.
Ronaldo left in the last minute also not helping, and we have our pre-season setup with ronaldo in mind. Management also don’t respond that situation well, although having little time to patch things up after ronaldo’s departure is a good alibi, they should have seen it long ago (many clues) and prepare life without ronaldo.
Allegri coming off from 2 years break and looks still catching up with current football dynamics. Very evident in the first few games and unfortunately still keep happening.
Finally the players. They must have and maintain grinta and in fact so far failed to do so. Only few sparks but no fire. Problem is I think more towards mental more than anything else. Seems only few players undertstand it and it’s concerning.
To move forward, all 3 has to face every possible situation with right mentality as a unit.
For me personally, I am more interested to see how juve respond to situations, result and standing does not matter as of now until winter break. Rebuilding needs time, patience, right movement and stabilization.
