so bloody difficult – For pure entertainment and the feelign we were ‘back’ in europe, i would say away at Dortmund.
Lazio win was so vital, ending that 20 year wait…beating Real when no one gave us a chance….That demolition of Parma……decisions, decisions….
The dortmund games were fun, but the feelings after our battles with Madrid were 2nd to non. We had established our selves as a big team again and the pure euphoria was undescribable.
Tough decision but the decisive 1-1 draw with RM in the away leg gets my vote for the clinical hard fought result at the Bernabeu, and the fact it meant we made the CL final against all odds! The Dortmund 3-0 scoreline was misleading as they were pushing up to try and score, and to be honest, Dortmund are a shadow of their former selves ever since Lewandowski left.
Difficult to say, domestically I give it to the 2-1 win in the Coppa against Lazio, that was a good game and we finally got that record we were looking for.
In CL, either the 0-3 battering of Dortmund or the win against Real Madrid. Nobody gave us a chance against them, we sent them back home with a defeat and much to fight for. The return was a solid performance, but the home win was more entertaining and a win too, so my vote goes to that game.
Now to decide, domestic game or a CL one?
Since we did great in CL, I’m voting for that one. Domestic success has become something we’re used to, so I voted for the 2-1 win against Madrid
I went with the 1-1 against RM just because it put us in the finals and this was the first time I truly experienced a CL final (I was only 9 in 2003). Plus after they scored first and then the come back was just a rollercoaster of emotions. The CI win for the first time in 20 years gave us the domestic double so that would be my second choice
Dortmund was great but beating real madrid was the greatest game for me.
I definitely chose the 0-3 victory in Dortmund. It meant a lot for me, i was 15 when i saw the CL Final against Milan and i was devastated, but we already were a very strong force in europe and those two next years saw us getting stronger but the results weren’t ideal in CL (Two very bad QF in a row).
I lived through those difficult years, one in Serie B, then watching Juve rise again in Serie A with players like Molinaro, De Ceglie, Amauri, Thiago, Sissoko, Manninger in our starting 11, not knowing when the strong team from the 90’s or the 2000’s would come back.
So that game in Dortmund it was the first time in 9 years that i really tought “We fckin did it” “We’re back!”. And it was just magical, it was so exciting and it will always have a special place in my heart.
I know the victory against RM in Turin or the tie in Madrid that got us to the final were incredibly special but we already felt like the confidence was definitely back and i think that the origin of that confidence is the special feeling of the season for me.
PS. It’s so nice to see some of you saying that you were really young when we played against Milan in 2003. JuveMondo for example was 9, and i find it really cool that a lot of us are in the same era of watching Juve and have the same memories and that makes us feel a lot similar in a lot of ways.
Personally, vs Empoli 2-0 and Final UCL because I went to both games. Twas awesome. However, our turning point this season I believe when we knocked out BVB 0-3.
Since this was my first Juve CL final to witness, i gotta say the final. 2nd Dortmund away and 3rd Real Madrid at home.
I think the best game for me personally was the 3-0 win over Fiorentina in Coppa. Not only did this game overturn the previous loss but it got us the final and domestic double afterwards. Juventus showed experience, spirit and confidence in that game.
Of course the CL games held much more importance and were more intense on my nerves, but I really will remember that coppa game
