Serie A Week 18 –  Wednesday,  6th January – 14:00 GMT – Juventus Stadium

Juventus win their 8th league game in a row courtesy of a masterclass from Paulo Dybala

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to watch the whole game as it was slap-bang in the middle of a working day, but I was lucky enough to catch the second half. There were lots of positives in that performance, most notably, that we didn’t look too exhausted by the close of game and Verona didn’t really require us to get out of 3rd gear for much of the game. After Dybala’s beautifully taken opener, the result never looked in doubt and Bonucci’s perfectly placed header gave us some breathing room before Simone Zaza killed them off late in the game. It was good to see Martin Caceres back in the starting XI, even better still to see Daniele Rugani notch up a few more minutes towards the end of the match. 3 valuable points and we keep pace with the leaders by securing our 8th in a row – The best streak anywhere in Europe i’m reliably informed. Nothing much more to add as i’ve only got time for a brief roundup….Sampdoria just days away where we’ll travel without the suspended Claudio Marchsio. Hoping to see Mandzukic return and there’s a possibility that Cuadrado may start. Fino alla fine, Forza Juve !
