Juventus is now open to selling Dusan Vlahovic as the striker struggles to score goals.
The Serbian was synonymous with scoring goals when he played for Fiorentina and most clubs on the continent wanted to add him to their squad.
Arsenal was even prepared to pay more money than Juve, but he moved to the Allianz Stadium.
Juve spent almost 100m euros to land him from La Viola and was confident he would keep scoring often at the club.
But that hasn’t happened and the black and whites are getting frustrated. He was previously considered a player that could not be sold, but a report from Football Italia reveals the striker is now one of the sellable players at the club.
Juve will offload him for the right price, especially if his goal drought continues beyond this season.
Juve FC Says
Strikers score goals. It was because of how frequently DV9 scored at Fiorentina that we added him to our squad.
If he cannot replicate that form in Turin, then we have to cut our losses and bring in a new frontman to solve our problems.
But Vlahovic has the quality and might return to form by the end of this season.
Time to go
Vlahovic is struggling because of boring and defensive alegri tactics..Alegri is the one single handedly killing vlahovic
It’s Vlahovic’s demeanour, body language, and constant looking for fouls that annoys me most.
I also cannot recall the last time he beat an opponent in a 1:1 dribbling situation.
Sure, Allegri’s tactics may not suit him, but he looks a shadow of the player we thought we were buying from Fiorentina so a change is probably the best outcome for both parties.
Which other players or strikers are scoring regularly ? How come Vlahovic scores for Serbia? Vlahovic’s confidence has been destroyed by Dinolegri…he used to take successful FKs (2/2) but that duty was given to Dino’s extinct grandpas Cuadrado and Slowredes…Why?? We lost to Monza and Haifa (they never beat us b4) and got destroyed by Napoli and Benfica…we got eliminated from the UCL group stage losing millions…for shame…and u guys still wanna continue with Dinolegri?? Is this our standard now?
He might be a far better player in another team. First of all, Juve was always (except the unsuccessful cr7 attempt) a 2-striker team. Yes, we still feel the consequences of Paratici’s signings, but we need to move on rebuilt the team. Let’s get a new young keeper for the bench and future. Let’s invest in Italian strikers and defenders. Let’s fix the defensive flanks for good. And Allegri is not the main problem. There are off field issues that affect players as well – change in the whole management board, ongoing chefferin allegations, injury crisis. But that’s why we are Juve, and that’s why we win at the end.
forgot to add – you can’t win the league with signings like 42M Kean and Sandro.
Well said! and it’s unbearable to watch when we lose the ball…no pressing from anyone till they coop up in our box and they hope that the opposition misfires, our GK saves or somehow someone intercepts…there is no resistance in the middle from anyone..no decent attempt in ball recovery…this is one of the reasons we concede at the last minute..people defend like this when they r 2-0 up and the game is in the dying minutes but we do it all the time.. …this is beggar’s brand of football…Dino has bought it back from extinction..RM also play a counter attacking brand..but they recover early and in the middle more often than not
Giving up on Vlahovic this early is a giant mistake. We will take a loss on his sale, then have to incur additional costs to replace him. All of this to MAYBE get a better striker. He has clearly shown ability to score and he is still young. He needs confidence and all this talk of selling him is not helping that confidence.
