Reports from Spanish and UK press suggest that on-loan Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain wants a move to Premier League club Chelsea.

The Argentine forward was forced into a loan move to AC Milan last summer following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin but Pipa has struggled for form.

Spanish paper Marca reported that Higuain was only hours away from agreeing a move to Chelsea late last night, reuniting him with coach Maurizio Sarri.

Sky Sport Italia reported late that the deal was unlikely to happens as The Blues weren’t keen on splashing out so heavily on a player over 30.

The Evening standard now report that Sarri has asked Chelsea to reconsider and make another move for Higuain with a suggestion that ‘negotiations are ongoing and are complicated’ as Juventus would essentially want Chelsea to take over Milan’s loan portion of Higuains deal and the €36m obligation to buy outright in the summer.

Pipita was recently criticised by Milan sportting director Leonardo at his lack of commitment leaving the Rossoneri ‘increasingly frustrated’ with his recent displays.
