Carlos Tevez has confirmed he has no plans to renew his current contract with Juventus which ends in 2016.

“I want to respect my contract until 2016,” he told reporters at Buenos Aires airport, “That’s my plan.

“I don’t want to extend, that’s not how I feel at the moment.”

Tevez was asked about a possible return to his boyhood club Boca Juniors, but the 30-year-old striker urged calmness regarding any decisions over his future.

“It’s too hard to say right now,” he said, “I’m playing at a high level so it’s important to be calm and enjoy being in the moment.

“Constant speculation would drive me crazy.”
