Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to miss up to three games but reports suggest he will return in time for the Champions League.

The Portuguese forward limped off in Portugal’s 1-1 draw against Serbia earlier this week leading to speculation that he may be out of action for up to a month.

Speaking after the game, CR7 was quoted as saying: “I know my body. I believe that in no more than two weeks, I’ll be fine.”

Juventus confirmed as much with a statement of their own, suggesting the injury was a “minor” one and he shouldn’t be out for an extended period.

Sky Sport Italia now report that Ronaldo will likely miss the games against Empoli, Cagliari and possibly Milan, but is almost certain to return in time for the Champions League clash against Ajax in the Netherlands.

A report on Juve’s official website today confirmed “Cristiano Ronaldo was seen to by a physiotherapist” following a stop off in Barcelona yesterday.
