Bianconeri defender Giorgio Chiellini believes ‘Juve can still win the scudetto’ but doubts that Andrea Pirlo will be joining rivals Inter Milan.

Speaking to RAI Sport, Chiellini addressed Juve’s poor form of late but remained confident about the teams title ambitions.

“John Elkann is right to say Juventus can still win the fifth consecutive Scudetto. He said it to fire up the team after a difficult start, but we are improving and we can do it.

“There are many reasons for the difficulties we had this term, but we’re trying to get a handle on the situation with self-criticism.

“The problem is global, as we concede too many goals, but also don’t score enough. We have to correct the mistakes and get things back in balance.”

Turning his attention to former teammate Andrea Pirlo, the Juve defender was quick to dismiss the idea of the veteran midfielder returning to former club, Inter Milan.

“I believe that Pirlo will come back to the Nazionale eventually although, as with others, we’re going to have to get used to him leaving sooner or later. I really can’t see Andrea at Inter.”
