Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has quashed any rumours linking him to Juventus, insisting he will only leave City if “sack me.”
The Spaniard was linked with a move to Turin by a Turin based journalist speaking to Radio CRC with the wild suggestion that he had already agreed a four-year contract with the club.
The news was rejected by most outlets in Italy but gained traction in the UK, leading to questions in the post-match conference after City’s 3-1 victory over Watford.
“I have two more years on my contract and moving is impossible unless they sack me,” Guardiola told the gathered press.
“I will stay two more years, or more. I’m not going to Juventus in the next two seasons.”
