Big surprise for you folks, we have launched a JuveFC podcast. We hope to become the number one Juventus podcast. Today the guest was David Amoyal, friend of the site and transfer reporter for GianlucaDimarzio.com. David spoke to host David Tenenbaum about Martin Caceres, Senad Lulic, Dani Osvaldo, Ciro Immobile, and much more!
First 😛
on the Immobile topic, i dont think management are wary of Immobiles situaion being similar to Gio s, or at least i hope they arent. if they are, they shouldnt be. i feel they went through two completely different paths if you look at it closely. for one, Gio was a home grown Juve fan, im not sure if Immobile was. then there were those huge shoes that he had been given to fill in being Capitanos successor. we all should know how big of a deal that is and i feel that being loaned out for a further two years after spending an earlier two years on the bench only heightened the pressure. lastly we shouldnt forget the lack of support and criticism Gio received when he did return. Immobile doesnt have even a quarter of that burden, so i really hope management doesnt worry Immobile will end up like Gio.
a big difference between gio’s situation and immobile’s situation is that parma had built their system around gio. we were never going to build our team around gio so his performance levels were definitely going to be lower. torino haven’t been built around immobile. then there’s also what john mentioned below.
yea i just dont believe thats their mentality towards this situation. if it is, wouldnt it be a waste to loan players out? eventually most players out on loan will excel, would they be hesitant to bring that certain player back too?
