Marko Pjaca looks set to leave Juventus on loan during the January transfer window with Wolfsburg and Schalke battling it out for his services.

The first reports in Italy today suggested that Schalke had agreed terms with Juventus , offering €1m plus €0.5m in performance-related bonuses to secure the Croatian winger for the remainder of the season. It’s reported that Schalke initially asked for an option to buy to be included in the deal however Juve refused as they believe the player has a future in Turin.

Sky Sport, Goal Italia and various reported that the deal was expected to be announced within the next 24 hours, however that may have changed with the player reportedly preferring another option.

 

Once again, Sky Sports Italia report that Wolfburg have made a similar proposal and the player would prefer to move there, leaving them as marginal favourites.

A formal announcement on the loan deal is expected within the coming days.
