Weston McKennie will leave Juventus in the last few days of the transfer window.
The American was one of the most important players at Juve last season when they struggled to reach the top four.
He was a part of the preseason in this campaign, yet he has failed to convince Massimiliano Allegri.
The manager gave him the chance to stake a claim for himself in Juve’s match against Empoli yesterday.
He played in the attacking midfield role, where he thrived last season, but he failed to take his chance in a match that ended in a 1-0 defeat to Juve.
Calciomercato says he is now set to be sold by the Bianconeri with several Premier League clubs looking to sign him.
Fabio Paratici would love him at Tottenham, while Aston Villa and Everton also retain interest in his signature.
Juve has set an asking price of around 30m euros, a fee that they hope to get soon so they can also add a replacement to their squad when he leaves.
Miralem Pjanic and Axel Witsel are two midfield options Juventus has been linked with a move for in this transfer window.
What a load of non-sense. He played better then Bentacur and Rabiot combined and he still gets this. Just shows to you why Juve will not rise to top and how these players mentioned above have stained the proud name of Juventus.
Martin, what is the source of your “article”?
This is so ridiculous. How do you decide the fate of a player with just one match that you played him out of position. He was one of Juve’s best player last season and certainly deserve more game time this season. I just hope this is a mere rumor.
Yes remove him and keep Bentacur and Rabiot. He played better then them and still this. This is why this club is going backwards, because the potential players are leaving and leftovers are staining the good name of Juventus.
yes out quickly, funds in, Aouar in!
That doesn’t make sense At all. Giving a player 1 game then decide to sell him utter rubbish. Why not try to get rid of Ramsey with his enormous wages and injury prone self. The season only begin and he’s injured already. Hope juve learn their lesson and avoid making mistakes like that in the future getting injury prone player for free but paying ridiculous wages
You answered your own question about Ramsey. Nobody wants him because of the wage bill and injuries. I too would love other teams to take our garbage but that’s usually not how it works, other teams actually want good players. Paratici didn’t seem to understand this basic concept.
Did Allegri even watch McKennie play last year? He was one of the few brights spots!
literally only giving him one game ? some players flop in one game but it happens but give the guy a few more chances and we will prove himself these youngsters could be the clubs future
If McKennie has any sense, he is the one that wants out. The Empoli game was a complete disaster. Allegri puts him in a position that is new to him and doesnt play to his strengths.
And yes. Ramsey is already hurt again.
While I loved seeing McKennie play on my favorite Italian team, Serie A’s move away from ESPN meant that seeing him in action was going to be rare at best this year anyway. A move to the EPL would be exactly the cure I’m looking for to better enjoy watching him and the Premier League.
