Reports from Italy suggest Juventus are on the verge of completing a deal for Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Bianconeri have a deal in place with Bayern which would see the Moroccan defender join Juve on loan for the upcoming season.
Gazzetta Dello Sport report this afternoon that a loan deal has been given the all-clear and Benatia has agreed to the move.
Benatia would join the club on loan with a mandatory option to buy at the end of the 2016/17 season – The total deal would come close to €18m.
Another excellent signing for Juventus. We needed a new CB after Caceres, and we are getting a proven one in Benatia. The BBC are getting older each year, it’s worth looking into potential replacements. Rugani’s development will also not be hindered, he for me is still the 4th choice CB, and Benatia comes in currently as 5th choice and must perform well enough to get consistent playing time.
This would be a very good buy if it happens. We need cover.
Good signing, There is no doubt/question or argument on his ability however i think David Alaba would have been a much better fit for us, and or Hummels since he is a lot younger….I may be wrong but isnt Benatia 29? or 30? Caceres is gone i liked him, although he to was old, Barzagli is to old, chielini is old, Lichsteiner is also around 29 (i think) i mean most of our defence is in danger of retiring in 1 – 2 years, we need young blood signings.
However i do like Benatia, better than Macherano and Darmain, hopefully Benatias signature stops Beppe’s persuing of them; Although i’ll say it again David Alaba would have been best/better.
In what world are you living? How do you possibly think we could sign Alaba?
Madrid was about to, but hey a man can dream, but yea if only we had more money
Maybe the new EA Sports sponsorship deal can help pay for him! Must be worth a few million….
when was this….i get all my Juve news from this site, please feel free to share other blogs and news sources though…ill be grateful
What i dont understand is how is juve so short on money having won all her rescent scuddetos ? Is Jeep not paying them good?
i dont know to much about club sponsorship’s and such
Juventus website. People should always check there for news on the business side of things. Juve are not short of money relative to most others – only 9 other clubs have bigger income, and even then it’s not like they have a multiple of the income we do, they don’t. I think from Juve to Man Utd / Real is about 150 – 200million. A lot, but we are still doing well. Income for 2015-16 should be 400+ million euro’s. That’s a big increase on last year, and about 3 times what it was in 2006 after calciopoli.
Its all about the money.
But Buffon is crying right now.
And also pretty much everything you said is wrong my friend.
im more of invest in the future type of guy. i don’t dislike old players but i always prefer young blood or at least 26/27. i could be wrong about the ages of the players above, my nerdiness doesnt delve that far in to remember everyones age
He is barzagli replacement who is 35 (not now ).
Were you drunk when you were writing this all?
lol not that i recall, although that’s always a possibility XD …. what claim of mine makes you think i was lost in the soothing nothingness of alcohol or traveling to the psych planes of sativa?
i stand by my claims….our defense is old and David Alba would be just a big as signing as Alves if not even better. Benatia is whatevers ….What makes you think i’m on narcotics?
“Lichsteiner is also around 29 ” = not at all
” hummels have been a much better fit for us” = why wd Bayern sell when they hv bought him this summer etc……………
Don’t really know whether or not to be happy with the move. Benatia can be really good, but his injury record is pretty much the same as Caceres’. Now it’s just a more expensive deal for an older player. Also a more experienced and a better quality one.
Bit of a gamble I guess?
i agree 100% there are better options within bayern, but more expensive
Don’t want him. At Juve he will just warm the bench.
I understand the need to bring in another CB, yet find a move for a player who has suffered consistent injuries, for 18m, a little too abstract to make sense of. If Benatia comes, I will hope for the best…Though feel there are better options to consider closer to home, such as Ferarri, though we need some experience on the bench hence Benatia. Such a shame we missed out on Tonelli, for I have long admired his zeal and fang.
Far more pressing is the front line. Rumours now abounding to the tune of Morata returning. Benteke is heading elsewhere (thankfully). Cavani has gone cold. Batshuayi is heading to the premier league. Lukaku? Still possibly an option? Milik? Has appeared industrious yet nowhere near potent at the top level. We can but assume Beppe has an ace up his sleeve, but who?
Replacing Morata is not commensurate to replacing Padoin! For Morata made a difference, his pace, his big game mentality, even when his form was haphazard, proved very valuable indeed when it mattered. We need to find a challenger for a first XI spot, as Morata was. Ideally with comparable pace and eye for goal. This is the missing piece of the puzzle. Our midfield, defence and starting goalkeeper are world class. Yet solely Dybala comes anywhere near that level of quality in our front line. If we can see this, Allegri can, and I am expecting a major move to remedy the issue…
I wouldn’t mind seeing Alexis Sanchez (whom i heard we where pursuing)
I think Shurlle and Lacazette and Higuain are our best options (but its as if Management doesn’t know they exist)
I mean Who else?
Benzema, Muller, Lewandowski, Suarez, Griezmann, Aubumeyang, Lukaku, are to expensive
Benteke, Chicharo, Oliver Girud, Aguero, Diego Costa, Cavani are all over priced – over marketed, pieces of trash no better than Mandzukic
Zlatan, Hulk and Batsuhyi already made their move so they are out
Cant think of any other top level striker off the top of my head, but Management might just end up taking a chance on Unknowns
In which case i stress : Jose Lopes El Tecatito (MEX), Jese Zardes (USA), Eduardo Vargas (CHILE), Salomon Rondon (Venezuela) . all performed exceedingly well this Copa America and are good choices
Milik could be a good signing as he has scored 21 goals and 7 assists out of 28 games in Eredevise.
never heard of them, but ill look them up on youtube
after a couple videos from what i saw i think i prefer Vincent Janssen. We need a player like him, who scores goals from improbable positions and wierd angles, he takes it upon himself to create hos own plays to score. Milik was good as well, Either would be a far better option than Chicharo
Yup, the only thing is that Tottenham are very close to signing him (Janssen). Another player who would be a good signing would be Angel Correa from Atl.Madrid; he’s full of potential.
true Correa is awesome as well! …i found this: https://video.gazzetta.it/napoli-pigliatutto-pjaca-milik-sfida-juve/89e04c9a-41f3-11e6-bf5a-ff9ff5e02783
My italian is extremely Rusty…i never learned it well enough to say its my 3rd language but enough to understand most player interviews lol but that was like a while back, but is the guy saying Juve and Napoli are racing to sign Milik????
Quality player. All for it. Struggled with the high line which Bayern play. Not a ball playing CB so another reason for struggling in Pep team.
This is just so sad. Heartbreaking for Buffon, he did not deserve to lose today, watching him crying makes me depressed :(. I have no words for Pelle and Zaza, especially Zaza why are you taking such an important penalty with your left foot ffs!!
Heartbreaking Azzurri defeat… Especially Buffon deserved to advance, he was a beast defending those penalties..
Sad week for me, first Belgium crashing out (deservedly so) and now the Azzurri are out too.. All that is left is to support Sami’s Germany and Pogba/Evra for France..
Indeed Buffon did not deserve to lose with that amazing save on Gomez and penalty saves, it was sad to see him walking down with tears :(. What’s with Pelle and Zaza’s penalty. Zaza trying to copy Pogba’s way and failed miserably. Gosh If only Pelle scored his penalty and gave us 3-1 lead…
I really wanted to see Zaza come on, but when I saw him coming in literally at the end of things I was scared. His first touch on ball would be a penalty. Then THAT run up to the ball… It doesn’t fit Zaza to take a penalty like that, just blast it in without any ado!
Pelle the same thing, cheekily telling Neuer where he will shoot and then miss it.. Neither of them held their nerves I guess?
Cant blame Darmian for the miss, nor Bonucci. They aren’t meant to take penalties. Pelle and Zaza should have scored.
I hope we can achieve a miracle and somehow let Buffon lift a CL trophy next season or the season after that. He deserves to win it at least once.
Benatia is not a consistent player. He can be an above average player, but not a champion. This coming season should be used to develop and assess Rugani as much as possible.
Yes. Its totally unfair for Rugani.
I think it would be great if he stood up against the Benatia deal. And says: whats with me???
I’m so proud the Azzurri & Juve Players..

we are linked with hernandez and i think he could do great things here. 26 goals in his first season in germany, wonderful, he is very very similar with morata but with much more exp, great shot, technique, eye for a goal, 20-25m could make it, 28 yo, what do you think guys?
This is bad news, and heres some proof: https://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/2016/07/03/juve-cambia-planes-apunta-a-chicharito
im Hispanic and watch every single mexico game and trust me, Chicharo will not be a good fit for juventus, i posted this in another comment and illrepost again:
“I found this: https://www.espnfc.com/story/28….
and ive never been more happy a player decided not to come to Juventus.
Im Hispanic ( parents from Mexico) so yes i see every MexNT Game and oh
god would Chicharo be a bad signing. He is a good goal Poacher..THAT IS
ALL, He is worse than mandzukic in every other way. Honestly the only
Three mexicans we should be going for are: Hirving Lozano, Raul Jimenez or Jesus Corona(Tecatito ). Tecatito has been nicknamed the Mexican messi, and
that is not an exageration. I would love a Tecatito( Mexican messi) –
Mandzukic – Dyabla (messi successor) attack ..however in the central
striking area if juve really wants a mexican there is none other than
Raul Jimenez (who is with Benfica) he scores every time he is subbed in.
second option would be Oribe Peralta.”
this is the link with my full comment as i posted several links of the players i speak off in action.
https://www.juvefc.com/alves-campions-league/
Chicharo routinely lets a lot of pressure get to him, and never shines in the important must win matches vs semi difficult to difficult teams missing very clear goals, very bad choice very very bad choice plese dont do it Juve; Raul Jimenez is a much better more technical player actually good in the air and with his feet
Javier Hernandez might be a good signing. Not a world class player, but can be effective at putting the ball in the net, since we have a strong midfield, it will be less demanding work from his part. It is also understandable that his form might have been slightly affected by his unsettling past years. I would not rule him out as a potential option.
he scored 26 goals in his first season in Leverkusen.god damn great stat for first season.did u see the vid?remind me morata
