Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has distanced the club from a move for Ivan Rakitic but believes Matthijs De Ligt will become the best in the world.
The Croatian midfielder has been reduced to a bench role and reports in the Spanish media suggested he would leave the club in January with Juventus his preferred destination.
“We have a great team and are not looking for reinforcements at the moment. We are strong in every position,” Paratici told ESPN.
“Regrets for De Ligt? I don’t see it like that. He will soon become the best defender in the world.
“Ronaldo? Juventus is happy to have the best player in the world and perhaps in football history. This also makes our fans happy.”
