Reports from across the Italian and Spanish press suggest that Juventus have agreed a deal to sign Matthijs De Ligt from Ajax.

Since the story originally broke on Friday in the Dutch press, reports have circulated across Italian, French and Spanish media that the Bianconeri were poised to sign the young defender.

Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti reports that a deal is a step away after Juventus agreed terms with the players agent Mino Raiola with De Ligt set to sign a five-year-contract earning €12m a year, including bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia confirm along similar lines that Juve have agreed terms today after a weekend of negotiations, however the deal will include a release clause of €150m which will increase each year.

Catalunya Radio journalist Oriel Domenech reported yesterday that a deal was 95% likely to go through, however he now suggests that it is 100% that De Ligt will play for Juventus next season and Barcelona will make no further attempts to sign the player.
