Juventus 7-0 Parma Post Match Review

Allegri’s Juve shines high after a thrilling and extremely important 3-2 Champions League win over the visiting Greeks of Olympiacos. With much conversation and excitement around today’s match against Parma in the cold and rainy conditions of Turin as Max Allegri seems to be moving closer and closer to a permanent switch to a four-man-defense. Much like Tiberius succeeding the great Augustus, Massimiliano Allegri has adopted Conte’s Juve with firm hands and has made it his own. Despite the confusion and even anger after a “disappointing” transfer market from Beppe Marotta and co, today the “little soldiers” and the great depth of Juventus prevailed in immaculate fashion over a very weak Giallolblu side.

Empoli 0 – 2 Juventus : Post Match Review

Alvaro Morata and Andrea Pirlo goals earned Juventus a valuable win in Empoli and a 3 point lead at the top of the table but Angelo Ogbonna and Kwadwo Asamoah are injury doubts for the game against Olympiakos midweek.

Juventus were celebrating the 117th anniversary of their foundation and had a chance to go clear at the top following Napoli’s 2-0 victory against Roma earlier in the day. Max Allegri opted to rotate his team and rest Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente, Paul Pogba and Stephan Lichtsteiner while Andrea Barzagli, Patrice Evra and Martin Caceres were all out through injury.

Genoa 1 – 0 Juventus : Post Match Review

For those of you who were disappointed by the Sassuolo result, well, you should have saved your frustrations for this match. Juventus came into Marassi to play Genoa and struggled mightily. Perhaps an Andrea Pirlo freekick could have done the job this time, but the team had already failed to capitalize on several opportunities throughout the match.

Juventus 2 – 0 Palermo Post-Match Review

After a disappointing night in Athens, Greece that saw The Old Lady fail to bring any points back to Turin after their loss to defensively-firm Olympiacos, Allegri had a few days to recuperate and prepare for what would be a very important fixture against Sicilian-based U.S. Palermo. With Roma drawing a very strong Sampdoria on Saturday, this match would deem very important for the Bianconeri to reopen the gap they created by beating Roma earlier this month. With a few switches in Allegri’s XI which would see Pirlo stepping in for Lichtsteiner, Pereyra slotting into the right flank and Llorente back in his starting role, the Mister did not take any chances against newly-promoted Palermo, which would prove to be a great success.

Post-Match Review: Sassuolo 1-1 Juventus

In a hard-fought Saturday night match, Juventus dropped two points on the road against Sassuolo. Roma defeated Chievo Verona earlier in the day, which means they have cut the gap to only one point. Sassuolo opted for 3-4-3 that only appeared to be more conservative but that in reality allowed them to match up better with the opponents. They didn’t sit back, also because they showed evident flaws when Juventus attacked with many men and, after the injury of Paolo Cannavaro, they really had a makeshift defense composed by Emanuele Terranova, Luca Antei and Francesco Acerbi, who anyway were able to hold their own, especially in the second half. Sassuolo’s most dangerous actions arrived when they increased the tempo, but they weren’t afraid to control the ball either. Simone Missiroli, a surprise starter, despite not being known for his defensive skill, helped Francesco Magnelli maintain the balance.

Post-Match Review: Juventus 3-2 Roma

After an unfortunate midweek loss in Madrid in the Champions League, Juventus found themselves going head-to-head against a Roma side that has been absolutely brilliant starting off the new season. With Rudi Garcia in his second term as Manager of the Giallorossi, he makes another visit to Turin, this time facing Massimiliano Allegri, but again falls short of earning any points in the fortress that is Juventus Stadium.

Post Match Review: Atalanta 0 – 3 Juventus

It seems that Max Allegri’s Juventus tenure only gets better. Shutout victory has followed shutout victory, and in addition to their Serie A perfection the side has also notched a Champions League win. Today’s match, away at Bergamo versus Atalanta, was the end of the beginning of Juve’s season. Now the very hard work begins, as the hear to the Champions League group stage pops up alongside Serie A. Juventus face a baptism by fire with consecutive matches versus Atletico Madrid (Wednesday) and Roma on the weekend. Luckily, they left Bergamo with all three points, so they are perfectly set for this next stretch of games.

Post Match Review: Juventus 3 – 0 Cesena

Max Allegri’s Juventus just set a record. They won their first four Serie A matches all without conceding a goal. That had never been done before, until Juve achieved it today. Indeed, today’s 3-0 triumph over Cesena was yet another page in the – so far – completely successful book known as Juve’s 2014-2015 season.

Post Match Review: AC Milan 0 – 1 Juventus

Despite being a match still in the very early stages of the season, this Milan-Juventus presented itself as a crucial encounter in the battle for the scudetto. Both teams arrived with a 100% record of effectiveness, having won both matches they played so far and in the case of the the bianconeri also winning their champions league encounter mid week against Malmo.

Post Match Review: Juventus 2-0 Udinese

After a long week away from Juventus amidst the International break, The Old Lady again not only found victory, but did it with another clean sheet despite the absence of Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli in the defense. Ogbonna and Caceres are beginning to look like a worthy and very strong pair when called upon in the past two matches. Max Allegri again went into todays match with the familiar 3-5-2 formation, despite not having Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo to his disposal. Upon his arrival, newly acquired Patrice Evra had expressed his will to not only play in his usual position of a Left-back in a four-man defense, but also as a wing-back in a 3-5-2 as he has experience playing in that position when he started his career for Marsala and Monza. Without the leadership of Chiellini, Barzagli, Vidal and Pirlo on the pitch, it was key to have the leadership qualities of Patrice Evra on the left flank.

Post Match Review: Chievo 0-1 Juve

After an excruciatingly long summer away from The Old Lady, Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri certainly did not fail to impress in Match Day 1 of the 14/15 season! From the first kick of the ball, Juve looked like a well-oiled machine with a staggering 72.4% of the possession after the first half-hour mark, something Allegri has been focusing on during preseason. Today was one of those days where it is almost impossible to find one piece of criticism about any of the players other than the lack of finishing in a game that was dominated and could have certainly ended in a greater scoreline.
