Matthijs de Lig’s move to Juventus should be complete by the weekend as the Bianconeri have made an improved offer to Ajax.

The Dutch champions and Juve were reportedly at loggerheads over a finalised transfer fee, however reports in Italy and Holland suggest an agreement is close to being agreed on.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claim the two teams are very close to agreeing on a fee with the Bianconeri reportedly offering €67m for the defender.

Ajax were suggested to be holding out for €75m which they believed to be a fair price following their run in this season’s Champions League.

Reports from Italy also suggest that Juve are pushing to agree the deal soon so that Maurizio Sarri can include De Ligt in his squad for Juve’s tour of Asia this summer.

Suggestions that Moise Kean may be included in the deal have been refuted by Sky Sport Italia who report that he will not be used as a makeweight in the transfer.
