Emre Can will finally complete his Juventus move next week having agreed terms on a multi-year deal, earning €5m per season.

Despite the headlines to the contrary and constant speculation as to when the deal would be completed, few reliable reports have emerged, with much of it being guesswork.

Both Sky Sport Italia and Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti now report that a deal is in place and the German midfielder will undergo his medical in Turin next week.

Goal Italia suggest that there are no longer any doubts: Can has agreed terms and finalised negotiations via a law form in London and for all intents and purposes, he is a Juventus player.

The deal was ironed out last Thursday and terms were agreed on a multi-year agreement of €5m net per season with Can set to arrive in Turin around June 15 to undergo tests at JMedical.

In the closing stages, the Bianconeri faced strong opposition to land the player with Bayern Munich and Manchester City both making a concerted late effort to land the player.

Despite rejecting offers from both clubs, it was Paris Saint Germain who emerged at the final minute to make a serious bid, repeatedly contacting the agents of the 24-year-old, however the Bianconeri strategy won the day.

Goal Italia go on to report the players professionalism in that he has already started to learn Italian in anticipation of his move to Turin and in an effort to prepare himself for the summer ritiro.

Despite some worrying reports that his back injury may hamper his fitness levels, the German – through hard personalized work – has managed to avoid surgery; Music to Juve’s ears.
