Juventus have obtained the availability of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos but any potential move may be linked to Miralem Pjanic.

The Bianconeri are inevitably planning for the post-BBC era with Andrea Barzagli having retired this summer and Giorgio Chiellini expected to do the same in the next two years.

Gazzetta Dello Sport report that Juve have made enquiries about PSG centre-back Marquinhos to check his availability and have been given an ‘ok’.

The player is reportedly happy in Paris but would be open to a return to Italy, following a successful stint with Roma, and is valued at around €60m.

Gazzetta also suggest that a counterpart in any potential deal shouldn’t be excluded as PSG have a strong interest in Miralem Pjanic who Juve value at €80m.

The Bosnian midfielder has been linked with a move away from Turin this summer having spent three successful seasons with Juventus.

When asked about a possible move to Paris, Pjanic was open to the idea of a move in his interview with Canal+

“They have a project, great players and the ambition to win the Champions League, so I think they have a realistic chance of achieving that. This is a side respected by everyone. If they call, you do listen.

Everything is possible in football. I’ve been in Italy for eight years and I am at a very big club in Juventus. If everybody is in agreement, then we can discuss a departure, but I am not thinking about that.” – Canal+
