Kwadwo Asamoah looks set to miss up to four months of the season after undergoing knee surgery earlier today.

The Ghanian has been out of action for some time already following a recurring knee problem. Juventus announced today that the player has undergone knee surgery in Barcelona and will miss at least 3 months of the Bianconeri’s season:

A statement on the clubs website read:

“Kwadwo Asamoah was in Barcelona [today] to undergo arthroscopic surgery designed to fix torn cartilage in his left knee Operated on by Dr. [Ramon] Cugat and accompanied by club doctor [Andrea] Causarano, the Ghanaian is expected to return to competitive action within three to four months.”

On loan Verona midfielder Romulo will also have to go under the knife to correct an abductor problem. Initial reports via Sky Italia suggest the Brazilian-born Italy international could be out for up to 3 months.
