Juventus are keen to keep hold of Alex Sandro for the foreseeable future and will offer the Brazilian full-back a contract extension until 2023.
The Bianconeri face losing a number of key players this summer with Gigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah out of contract while Gonzalo Higuain and Sandro are the latest names to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
Goal Italia journalist Romeo Agresti reports that Juve’s intentions are clear: to hold on to Sandro and ward off interest from Manchester United.
With that in mind, the Bianconeri will offer a contract extension from the current deal, which expires in 2020, to 2023, as well as offering Sandro an increase in salary to €5m net per season.
Juventus directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici prefer to have continuity in the squad next season, so losing a player of the caliber of Sandro, especially after the departures of Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci, is seen as a real risk.
Marotta was quoted as saying the club will meet with Sandro’s representatives in the coming weeks and Goal report that will happen in a short time, however, should the Brazilian prefer to leave, Juve will inevitably have to quickly find a replacement with Leonardo Spinazzola set to miss at least five months due to injury.
