Claudio Marchisio has distanced himself from a move away from Juventus, insisting he wants to remain at the club.

The midfielder endured a torrid season making only 20 appearances in all competitions and leading to speculation that he may move to the MLS.

I Principino was quizzed about the rumours linking him with a move to the US but insisted he has only one thing on his mind.

“I want to play here and I want to stay at Juventus,” Marchisio told SportMediaset.

“There’s been no contact with other teams, nothing concrete. We haven’t talked to Juventus, we’ll do it in July after the holidays, but I’m optimistic.

“I hope to stay, we’ll see.”
